Nyoka skin

Right, let's get working on this I've found where I can edit the CSS as much as I want, so that's good. I'm going to try to do as much as I can with css to it only has to be copy-pasted!

Let's see. I think it would be very cool if we could let the forum look like the website as much as possible. So we'll see if we can use the starry background. I think we should use the default Nyoka theme (the purple one) to base ourselves on, we can always create more skins later to go with the other themes.

For the index etc. I was thinking we use the grey menagerie colours etc. That way the icons (stars etc) will stand out nicely

I'll sample the colours and post them here

Whoo, we have our starry background

Now, for the colours:

The center menagerie box inside: #474747
Borders of the menagerie boxes: #333333
Side menagerie boxes inside: #665f61 (also the corners of the boxes)
The light gradient goes from #757575 to #444444 (e.g. the background gradient of the box with the minisprites)
The dark gradient goes from #474747 to #222222 (e.g. the slider of the minisprite box)
All text is plain white (#ffffff)
The main purple colour is #5f2871
The purple borders are #f0a2ff
The small band of darker purple at the top is #5a3470

And I think those are all the important colours!

I had the star icons but I noticed something wrong with them, so I'll have to re-do those. But let's work on the skin first

Stupid title in the header, I can't make it go away D: This way the logo can't be centered like it is on the website... do you think you can find where to do that?

I just removed the site description is all. The Project Nyoka image just needs to be centered somehow.

Okay, I'm gonna see if I can find it in the css. It should be centered already according to the settings, but it's obviously not xD

Aaaah this is annoying xD I know exactly where in the css it is, but it won't listen to anything to make it go to the center. I can make it go to the right no problem, but it refuses to be centered xD

Well in the css I've reached the bit that says "menu" but I'm not 100% sure WHICH menu that is xD Although it should be the menu at the top. But there should be something bright red there because I changed a background colour to bright red, but it's not there xD

It's so annoying when I can't find what corresponds to a certain bit of code xD And it annoys me to no end that I haven't found the right code for the background of the table when you look at the topic list... I know exactly what the code looks like on a non-free phpBB forum but they somehow changed it here I think, because I can't find it. Ah well, I'm just going to continue reading the css and changing what needs to be changed xD

Just do the best you can, and if you need help, there is always the help forum that they have.

I've looked at the help forum a bit, but it hasn't been very useful so far. But I'm sure I'll find it I still have a big part of the css to go... hopefully I'll be able to finish this today!

It doesn't help that the items in the css seem to be in a completely random order. I would've expected them to be sort of logically ordered, but no... completely random. Or at least it seems that way.
